The Maintenance manager is responsible for Plan, Coordinate and Verify all maintenance activities (Internal and contracted), to ensure the continuity of manufacturing operations, complying with Industrial Safety and Quality standards of manufactured products and providing solutions technologically adequate to the present needs and future challenges of MER Plant in constant evolution

What are we looking for?

• Experience of 5 years in similar positions (Coordinator, Engineer, Manager or maintenance Director) in companies in the food sector with continuous processes, budget control and management Indicators
• Professional in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
• English spoken and written
• Knowledge in process equipment (Grinding, Extrusion, Drying, Packaging), service areas (Boilers, Fire network, compressed air, electrical substations), automation, control and supervision systems, hydraulics and pneumatics

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Establish basic guidelines for predective, preventive and corrective maintenance program
• Coordinate maintenance group the programming and documentation of the maintenance activities of the plant equipment, with a focus on preventive
• Schedule plant maintenance activities according to the weekly production plan (production shifts, preventive and/or corrective maintenance with internal and/ or contracted personnel)
• Establish the annual maintenance budget, based on the information collected periodically in the control of the execution of maintenance expenses.
• Organize internal and contracted technical resources according to the production plan and the preventive maintenance program, for the permanent attention of the maintenance needs in the plant.
• Evaluate different service providers and coordinate their participation in maintenance activities
• Implement with the commercial area, specialized maintenance contracts favorable to the company, which guarantee scheduled maintenance and permanent technical assistance for plant equipment.
• Coordinate complementary activities necessary for the weekly execution of preventive and/ or corrective maintenance (External workshops, specialized consultancies, predictive maintenance)
• Coordinate the execution of corrective, preventive and improvement actions of corporate audits
• Coordinate with the commercial area the request and timely delivery of the department’s needs
• Attending and solving production, quality, health and safety problems inherent to equipment failures that occur in the plant.
• Exchange information with the different operational areas to analyze and carry out solutions and improvements to the problems of the production equipment, guaranteeing the continuity of the operation and a better efficiency in the plant.
• Coordinate with the maintenance personnel the organization and existence of warehouse spare parts and maintenance spare parts. To maintain an adequate stock.
• Coordinate and ensure with P&O the benefits and training of maintenance personnel, as well as provide support in the training of plant operation personnel
• Participate in the testing and startup of new equipment in the plant and provide ideas for improvements.
• Cover the Shift Coordinator in absences due to disability, vacation or training.
• Periodically control the maintenance budget, ensuring that resources are applied according to the Operational Plan
• Require compliance with industrial and food safety regulations in maintenance activities, carried out by associated personnel and / or contractors.
• Monitoring of the execution of internal and contracted maintenance activities
• Development of the periodic report of maintenance management (Budget control and area indicators)
• Accompaniment in corporate audits that involve the manufacturing area
• Ensure compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance contracts.
• Constantly monitor scheduled and unscheduled plant shutdowns to evaluate the efficiency and availability of production equipment, analyzing downtime.
