Mountaire Farms Looking for Engineering Intern at Siler City, NC Full Time
Primary Purpose
To experience Mountaire’s culture first-hand and provide additional exposure of Mountaire’s family-oriented work environment. Fulfill all designated duties within each specialized area of operation for the duration of the internship. This program is intended to provide learning opportunities by working hands-on with mentors and completing assigned projects. The incumbent will help assist in design of an engineering-based project. The intern will also have to communicate daily with end users in the plant, engineering, safety, outside vendors to complete study and possible implementation of the project.

Research new and existing methods
Present ideas, be able to improve design based on feedback
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Complete assigned project identified by department mentor
Attend weekly seminar series across different Mountaire facilities
All interns must be available to travel to Delaware during the last week of the program for final presentations (August 5 – 9, 2024)
All interns are required to complete a 10 minute presentation on their project at the conclusion of summer. Presentations will take place in Millsboro, DE at the Administrative Building during the week of August 5-9th
All interns must complete a mid-way evaluation (week 5) along with a final evaluation (week 10)
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university.
Valid Driver’s license.
Must pass the Mountaire Motor Vehicle Record check
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
Engineering Major
AutoCAD experience required
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
