HallKeen Management provides a platform for owning and managing affordable housing while strengthening bonds with the local communities in which the properties are located. HallKeen Management was established in 1991 by three founding partners. Today, it has over 300 employees, 90 + properties, 7,000+ units under management, and is headquartered in Norwood, Ma.
HallKeen Management is seeking a seasoned Chief Executive Officer who will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership and management of HallKeen Management. While also possessing the leadership skills to inspire staff and management skills to drive results, this individual will articulate and lead a fiscally responsible strategy for effectively integrating all functions of the organization. The HallKeen portfolio is a heterogenous group of affordable multifamily properties mainly developed with the federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and other federal, state and local subsidies. The new CEO should have a strong knowledge of the real estate development process, rehabilitation, affordable housing funding, and the syndication/re-syndication of affordable housing.
The CEO will report to President and the Chairman of the Board to ensure that business goals and strategies are being met. The CEO provides leadership in formulating and implementing HallKeen Management philosophy, mission, strategies, and goals. The underlying goal for the CEO is to increase opportunities for HallKeen Management residents to live full lives by providing high-quality, well-managed affordable housing and a range of supportive services.
While building on the successes of the past, the organization has created an environment that welcomes a new vision and leadership. HallKeen Management has a solid pipeline of real estate development and re-development projects, a strong balance sheet, and a well-defined asset management function.
Major Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Qualification:
Minimum 10-15 years real estate acquisition, redevelopment, asset management and property management. Demonstrated real estate leadership skills are required. Experience in affordable housing is preferred. Minimum ten years’ experience supervising senior staff or department heads. Preferred Master’s degree in management/finance. Demonstrated leadership skills using performance incentives and team-building strategies. This position requires strong written, oral and reading communication skills to accurately obtain, interpret and transcribe complex programs at all levels of the organization. Strong computer skills and experience with industry related software.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include health, dental, long term disability and life insurance. CEO will be located at central office, Norwood MA and remote home office. Travel around New England/East Coast including some overnights will be required. .
