2: Experience developing embedded software using C/C++
3: Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
4: Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, specifically with software teams
5: General knowledge of hardware and communication protocols
6: Experience developing plans with costs and schedules for new development projects
7: Experience writing low level software such as drivers and BSPs
8: Knowledge of software design and architecture best practices and processes
9: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
10: BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
11: Willing to travel as needed
12: Able to work at a computer for extended periods of time
13: Able to hear and speak
14: May be required to lift up to 10 pounds, with assistance
15: Able to work in a typical office environment
16: Able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with experience leading embedded software projects.

This individual will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge Infrared Product lines and world-class Space Avionics systems.

This role will be responsible for a variety of software tasks throughout the full lifecycle for designing, coding, documenting, and testing embedded systems while leading and mentoring other engineers.

DESIRED (not required) SKILLS:
:: Experience with Communication Protocols such as Ethernet, RS232/422, 1553, GigE Vision, etc.
:: Experience writing software requirements.
:: Knowledge of DOORS
:: Experience working with other programming languages such as C#, MATLAB, Python, etc.
:: Experience in the Defense, Space, Aerospace, or similar industries
:: Experience using software version control tools
:: Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and basic lab equipment
:: Experience with Windows Development Environments (Linux a plus)
:: Basic knowledge of circuits, schematics, and hardware design
