  The Amazon Smart Vehicles team is seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented and customer-obsessed, Senior Partner Manager to develop and manage relationships with our Automotive OEM partners to bring new experiences to market that will delight customers. Our growth requires leaders who move fast, have an entrepreneurial spirit to create new products, unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems. In this role, you will work closely with leadership, product development and solutions architects to develop our partnering strategy, implement mechanisms to scale our outbound business development activities, and help close deals. The ideal candidate will have experience in market development of automotive products, and is a self-starter willing to operate in a multifaceted way. This is a unique opportunity to develop and execute on a global strategy to help auto OEMs build their next generation in-cabin experiences.

  Key job responsibilities
  As a Partner Manager, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage the automotive relationships from contract closure to integration and beyond
• Own all facets of the partner management process, develop strategic relationships, and understand important business drivers for customers and partners
• Partner closely with Alexa automotive product and technology teams to plan and execute Alexa Voice Service integrations and ideate on ways to simplify and scale the process over time
• Lead the integration programs, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results
• Work with other Amazon teams to leverage established relationships and present a unified vision to our partners
• Understand a partner’s product portfolio and roadmap and ensure that Alexa is part of the partner’s ongoing plans
• Report on plans and results to senior management, and communicate frequently with various internal and external stakeholders

  A day in the life
  A successful candidate will have experience working with in the automotive ecosystem and working with external partners. Candidates will have strong program or project management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to adapt to new scenarios, familiarity with business and technical work streams and a track record of delivering high quality results. Keys to success also include:

• Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
• Ability to think, analyze, and act in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Early identification of issues and the ability to rally resources to clear obstacles and meet customer expectations
• Ability to use influence to get results and a strong inclination towards process improvement
• Superior communication skills, high attention to detail, flexibility and willingness to be resourceful in getting things done
• Ability to bring together a variety of stakeholders and align on a path forward
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn new things

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Extensive years’ experience working in a technical field or technical organization
• 5+ years experience leading medium-to-large projects or programs
• Experience working with external partners
• Experience in the automotive industry. Should have direct working experience working at or with automotive OEMs or Tier1s
• Experience with connected devices and/or cloud-based service

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree or MBA
• Experience in voice-powered systems, connected devices, and or Internet of Things
• Demonstrated experience in account management, product planning and management, and/or marketing
• Current working knowledge of speech technologies and voice interfaces
• Experience with vertical-specific products, leading brands, customer value propositions and product evolution
• Bias for action, and ability to work independently toward stated goals with minimal oversight
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management both internally and externally
