Trucking Supervisor

Compensation:

Full-time, Competitive Salary (E51) – commensurate with experience.

Scope & Responsibilities of Trucking Supervisor : (Not limited to)

• Leads, trains, and mentors a diverse team including Crude Truck Drivers, truck mechanics, and Dispatcher. to deliver exceptional customer service to its crude suppliers while meeting Company objectives.
• Monitors appropriate operational KPI’s and proactively identifies areas for continuous improvement, improved safety culture, and increased operational efficiency; Develops best practices and robust SOP’s.
• Collaborates with truck mechanics to monitor fleet performance, execute appropriate truck repairs and preventative maintenance, inventory control, vendor management and purchasing practices to deliver optimum value and fleet performance.
• Utilizes Fleetmatics software to monitor driver safety and to improve truck and driver performance.
• Builds and cultivates positive relationships with existing and prospective crude suppliers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders. This includes participating in producer events and periodic meetings with producers to maintain their confidence in the service level ARG provides and to increase ARG market share.
• Monitors and manages operating and capital expenses within approved budget; Prepares monthly reports to understand and control expenses; Manages small projects as needed; directs the work of contractors and company employees as needed.
• Assist Manager of Crude Gathering & Safety for emergency response and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (DOT, FRA, OSHA, EPA).
• Assist Manager of Crude Gathering & Safety on all terminal maintenance including pumps, meters, and other terminal equipment.
• Supports and promotes Company’s safety culture and program to drive improved safety and environmental results.
• Collaborates with appropriate internal stakeholders to conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis to recommend and execute corrective actions.
• Assists with creation and maintenance of DOT qualification, personnel, and equipment files.
• Assists Supervisor to develop and track departmental budget, KPI’s, goals and objectives, as well as plan, organize and complete projects.

Education & Experience for Trucking Supervisor:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or supply chain discipline from an accredited college or university preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ combined experience in the areas of fleet management, oil & gas industry, transportation, logistics, terminal management, and supply chain.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Other Qualifications of Trucking Supervisor:

• Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
• Overnight travel within and outside the assigned area is required.

Physical & Cognitive Demands of Trucking Supervisor:

• Meet deadlines, focus attention, work independently and collaboratively, exercises sound judgment, demonstrates leadership within team, communicates effectively, reading comprehension, instruct/synthesize, critical thinking/troubleshooting.
• Seeing (including colors), speaking, hearing, smelling, sitting, walk/climb, stand/reach, listen, writing. Push/pull/lift/carry or otherwise transport up to 50 pounds, driving, handles hazardous chemicals, exposure to dust/fumes/gases.
