The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Under the direction/supervision of the Computer Operations Supervisor (Operations), the incumbent serves as the Information Systems Center (ISC) Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Access Network (WAN) and Cloud Based Environment Operator. Primary responsibility is the daily administration of the Department of State Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) Open Network (OpenNet). The field of responsibility is applicable to the LAN sites in Frankfurt. The Incumbent is responsible to independently manage, analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with hardware, software, installations, and upgrades. Manages accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment; monitor systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. The incumbent provides and independently manages ISC mobile enrollment and supports multiple mobile environments.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of (1) one year of experience in systems implementation, network administration, helpdesk technician or desktop system support is required
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
An excellent high level of technical knowledge on desktop and server operating systems (OS) and PC hardware. An excellent high level of technical knowledge required includes standard troubleshooting techniques, systems analysis, network management and telecommunications proficiency. Ability to apply classroom or on the job training information on Department of State corporate application for independently daily work.
