The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The incumbent may be required to travel approximately 4 to 5 times per year for a total of 10-15 days to support the Consulates in Hamburg & Leipzig, housing in Bremen or assisting with professional training or visits.
The incumbent is responsible for proper storage, inventory, and issuance of non-expendable property from the General Services Office (GSO) Berlin Warehouse. The Storekeeper (Warehouse Supervisor) supervises and provides work guidance for seven Locally Employed (LE) Staff [supervises four Warehouse Worker (Truck Driver) and three Warehouse Worker]. The incumbent coordinates and manages the daily warehouse work activities with primary focus on pick-ups, storage, transport, delivery, and placement of furniture/equipment items for offices at three embassy locations and numerous residences occupied by the American Embassy Berlin. The incumbent maintains and oversees rotations and life cycles for stocks and products in the warehouse. This position works directly under the supervision and direction of the Supply Supervisor.

2 years of previous experience in warehousing or logistics as well as 1 additional year of general supervisory experience are required.
Completion of secondary school required (US: High School Diploma/GED; Germany: state German school degree required).
LANGUAGE: please address both language requirements in your ERA application.
Position requires good working knowledge language skills in English (reading/writing/speaking).

– Must have a valid (German/EU), current driver’s license for Class B. (please submit front and back of the license)
– Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word software is required.
– Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel software is required.
This may be tested.
