Job Overview: Responsible for and contribute to screening for candidate components of our genome medicine and get exposed to a variety of functional genomics methods in target ID.
Key Responsibilities
Work with scientific lead to design and implement screenings to optimize programmable gene insertion in different cell types
Follow up on screening results in primary cells
Perform DNA/RNA transfections and viral transductions
Quantify genome editing events using various molecular assays
Data analysis, figure generation and reporting of results within a timely manner
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory space
Present findings at small forums and R&D meetings
Maintain a thorough and detailed electronic lab notebook
Qualifications
PhD or MS in cell biology, molecular biology or related fields is required with 2+ years of lab experience in industry or academia
Have a good understanding of CRISPR technology and extensive hands-on experience
Background in liver disease, stem cell biology and T-cells
Experience in functional genomics and lentiviral work is highly preferred
Experience in mammalian cell tissue culture, DNA/RNA transfection, bacterial culture, recombinant DNA cloning techniques, Primer design and PCR, Gel electrophoresis, Nucleic acid extraction and purification, (Experience with microscopy a plus)
High throughput screening experience with automation is a plus
NGS library prep, cell line generation using lentivirus, immunostaining and flowcytometry experience is a plus
