A major bank is seeking a Quantitative Analytics Specialist within the Enterprise Analytics and Data Science Team.

Knowledge Graph technology is an enterprise data management technology that leverages ontologies and machine learning to represent information in highly expressive and reusable ways. It ushers in a paradigm shift in how highly variable structured and unstructured information is linked and integrated using a common model. The Enterprise Knowledge Graph Solutions (EKGS) team is playing a key role within the bank to actualize the potential of knowledge graph. EKGS is developing novel capabilities that demonstrates how knowledge graph technology can better support the financial needs of our customers as well as improve risk management and operational capabilities.

The knowledge graph data scientist will advance the practice of data science at the bank by developing algorithms that leverage and train on knowledge graphs to demonstrate precision and lift over conventional methods. In particular the knowledge graph data scientist will develop methods to encode triples and chains of triples using graph neural networks and knowledge graph embedding techniques as a basis for novel analytics and machine learning algorithms. Some of the use cases where this approach will be leveraged is for semantic search, identity resolution, customer insights, automated mappings between physical data elements and business elements.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, implement, and calibrate various analytical models
• Perform highly complex activities related to financial products, business analysis and modeling
• Perform basic statistical and mathematical models using Python, R, SAS, C++ and SQL
• Perform analytical support and provide insights regarding a wide array of business initiatives
• Provide solutions to business needs and analyze work flow processes to make recommendations for process improvement in risk management
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers and regulators to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications, US:

• 2+ years of Quantitative Analytics experience, or equivalent
• Master’s degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, economics, or quantitative field

Desired Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Python experience
• 3+ years of Natural Language Processing (NLP) experience
• 4 + years of experience using quantitative machine learning techniques
• Passion for achieving transformation changes using knowledge graph technology and machine learning.
• Deep expertise converging knowledge graph with natural language processing, machine learning, neural networks and deep learning
• Expertise with graph neural networks e.g. PyTorch-BigGraph, DGL-KE, PyTorch Geometric
• Expertise with knowledge graph embeddings algorithms e.g. TransE, TransR, RESCAL, ComplEx
• Strong competencies in python & R
• Competencies using Jena/RDF4J, RDFLib, JSON/JSON-LD
• Understanding of RDF/OWL ontologies and SPARQL query languages
• Expertise in Cypher, GraphQL or work with other labeled property graph query languages
• Working experience with GitHub, UNIX, Shiny, Flask / Plumber APIs, RStudio Connect, SQL, CSV
• DevOps experience with Jenkins
• Excellent soft & written skills with the ability to create specifications & documentation
• Ability to execute and be flexible to take direction on necessary tasks with minimal guidance within defined guardrails
• Perform code reviews, and restructure others code as required by style guidelines and best practices
• Availability to respond without notice, and do work as necessary during non-standard hours
• When directed work on tasks that may not be within area of technical expertise or existing skills with little ramp-up time allowed
• Comfort with working in a fast-paced and externally governed development environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical aptitude with the ability to apply critical judgment coupled with sound analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Strong ability to multi-task (both organize and prioritize) and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Ability to work independently and take ownership and accountability on assigned tasks driving execution through completion.
