LOCATION: REMOTE

DURATION: 6 MO. CTH

RATE: NEGOTIABLE

SUMMARY

We are looking for a Systems Engineer that thrives in a fast pace, dynamic work environment. With hands on, practical experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft technologies in a hybrid cloud environment. With a proven ability to manage complex IT projects that require strong attention to detail and broad technical knowledge.

MUST HAVES:

1. Extensive background working with MSPs
2. *Enterprise* Intune management and configuration experience
3. Automation and scripting expert
4. Extensive experience with RMM tools such as Atera, ConnectWise, etc.
5. Azure AD Identity management experience (SSO, Enterprise application integrations. SCIM provisioning)

NOT looking for: a traditional on prem SysAdmin with VMWare, Storage, with no Cloud experience.

JOB FUNCTIONS
Key responsibilities

• Provide Microsoft 365 expertise by maintaining a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Microsoft 365 and related core technologies and drive its strategic office collaboration, modernization, and productivity roadmap initiatives
• Provide hands on technical support for the design, configuration, and maintenance of all facets of an Office 365 and Azure Tenant
• Lead new agency migration, IT standardization activities, and processes
• Design solutions to decommission on premise server workloads, and/or migrate them to the cloud
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Configure and install software, servers, firewalls, and other network devices
• Ensure security through Identity & Access Management controls, backups, and NextGen firewall technologies
• Manage and support Active Directory (Directory Services, DNS, GPO)
• Provide administration and support for Hilb SaaS applications, Box, Salesforce, ShareFile, and Barracuda email security
• Interface with Microsoft for any Tier 3 support

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and established technologist with 5+ years of related experience
• Expert skills in Office 365 (Identity, Authentication, Administration, Implementation, Exchange, Teams).
• 4+ years of Windows Server/AD experience
• 2+ years of PowerShell use in Production environment
• Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP based networks and associated technologies
• Well-rounded knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, VLAN, Routing, VPN, etc.)
• Experience with FortiGate, WatchGuard, or Barracuda firewalls preferred. Previous experience with firewall integration is required
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering with senior IT and Program leadership
• Customer Service – works well with clients and other vendors in achieving mission success and is committed to providing quality products and services
• Strong Communication Skills – be able to expresses key ideas and obtain tangible feedback from cross-functional team members and stakeholders
• Critical Thinking and Problem Solving – identifies risks and problems, and be able to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations

DESIRED SKILLS
• Prior experience with Microsoft tools (SCCM/Intune)
• O365 migration experience and proficiency troubleshooting these activities
• Microsoft MCSA – O365 or Azure
• Experience with Okta for enterprise identity and access management
• Microsoft Certifications – Office 365
