Job Description Your Team As per the management agreement between the Chappelle Gardens Residents Association (CGRA) and Brookfield Residential (Alberta) Ltd., the General Manager is an employee of the CGRA and will report to the Manager, Residents Associations, Brookfield Residential. The General Manager will be responsible for creating and supporting the vision of the RA in alignment to the Brookfield Residential vision of creating healthy communities and exceling in the realm of Customer Experience. On top of stewarding the strategic vision the General Manager will manage the daily operations including customer experience, community engagement, maintenance, administration, governance, communications, reputations management, social media, rentals and programming of the Chappelle Gardens Social House, the grounds and other areas under the umbrella of the Chappelle Gardens Residents Association. Your Key Deliverables Without limiting the generality of the foregoing the General Manager will be responsible for the following functions: Leadership, Development and Customer Experience Provide hands on leadership and mentoring of staff; Cultivate a culture of exceptional customer experience with protocols in place to measure success; Initiate and oversee development and implementation of projects and programs to enhance customer engagement and customer experience; Create goals and performance measures to be incorporated into the strategic plan; Recruit, supervise, schedule and terminate staff; Ensure delivery of best in class programs and services that align with expectations of members; Management of online reputations – ensure google/facebook reviews are monitored and communications plan in place to respond. Manage facility and park operations in a fiscally responsible manner; Prepare and manage the annual operating budget and monthly cash forecasts (with the Bookkeeper); Review payroll; Maintain membership status, invoicing, and collection Not for Profit Governance Organize, attend, and participate in Board meetings and Annual General Meetings; Engage and collaborate with Board members; Main contact between the Board of Directors and community members; Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders and other partners; Prepare managerial and administrative reports; Maintain various policy and procedure manuals; Ensure the Association is compliant with pertinent legislation. Facility Operations Identify opportunities for efficiencies in all areas of operations; Ensure operations are maintained to best in class safety standards; Ensure operations and maintenance plans are executed to a professional standard; Assist with preparing and maintaining operations and maintenance plans for the building, equipment, and landscaping; Scheduling operations of and for the building within approved limits; Maintain safety, operations, and procedure manuals. Financial Acumen Manage facility and park operations in a fiscally responsible manner; Prepare and manage the annual operating budget and monthly cash forecasts (with the Bookkeeper); Review payroll; Maintain membership status, invoicing, and collections.
