VP Global Head of Marketing The VP Global Head of Marketing is responsible for the creation and execution of all annual strategic marketing plans including all promotional and advertising efforts in support of technologies, products, and offerings across all Business Segments and Divisions. This role will lead the market analytics and landscaping for the strategic planning process and drive the business strategy creation process.
The VP Global Head of Marketing is a key senior leadership position at the epicenter of business market analysis, strategy and marketing, and is a member of the Chief Commercial Officer’s leadership team. This position will drive strategic marketing excellence centrally and across all Business Segments and Divisions through the use of market and competitive intelligence, strategic marketing insights, and strategic planning processes. You will also be accountable for leading the expansion of the Catalent brand marketing across audiences, segments, and channels with impactful, aligned and cohesive strategies, platforms, messaging, and programs.
This role is responsible for leading all external marketing initiatives that stretch across Catalent Divisions and coordinating external messaging platforms across Catalent with other functions and stakeholders. The Role: Oversees development of key messaging for all offerings within assigned business segment, driving awareness and customer engagement within target customer segments. Interfaces with business leadership to gather and provide insights to inform marketing planning and plan execution, and reports to leadership on progress toward defined KPIs (e.g. leads generated, CTA, ROI, etc.).
Drives Product Management initiatives for products/segments/offerings /services or other relevant categories across functional partners to ensure these are developed, planned, positioned, marketed and sold appropriately. Responsible for developing actionable insights from market data, trends, competitor activity, and industry reports to lead the development of a comprehensive market landscape for the business unit. Leads the business Strategic Planning process in partnership with the Catalent Strategic team helping Business Leadership to develop the strategic plan story, presentations, analysis and plans.
Responsible for measuring and delivering strong ROI across strategic marketing plan. Oversees the creation of content for digital and print executions and ensures all external-facing communications are on-brand and aligned with marketing and growth objectives Partners with business development leadership to ensure marketing plan is executed in a timely fashion and in alignment with needs of BD, and communicates collaboration and support needs (e.g training, adoption and usage of tools, lead follow up, etc.) to the BD team as needed. Lead
New Technology assessment and/or Product Development programs with external partners in conjunction with appropriate internal teams such as BD, S&T and PD Teams. Review and approve all targeting campaigns in partnership with BD and ISG leadership. Build, manage and coach a dynamic and high-performing global marketing team that oversees external communications and media relations, brand marketing, public/governmental affairs communications, tradeshows and special events, content development, and brand design.
Regularly oversees and improves collaboration across central marketing team with divisional marketing teams, third party vendors, media, and other internal stakeholders. Drives the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and drive lead generation. Leads strategic planning for corporate marketing campaigns, cross-company tradeshows, executive speaking events, and major brand campaigns.
Develop and improve processes/tools for overall marketing operations, project/campaign management, and financial reporting. The Candidate: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field. Master’s degree highly preferred.
