Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Looking for Senior Network Security Engineer at Ca Full Time

This position can be remote/telecommute.

In Schwab Cybersecurity Services (SCS), Office of CISO, we provide platforms, services, and security operations capabilities which enable the firm to produce successful client and shareholder outcomes securely and safely. Securing our IT assets, data, and access to applications is the core of who we are and what we do. We ensure only the appropriate entities have access to IT resources and that we adhere to best practices and standards to ensure a safe and compliant environment is maintained.

The Network Security team within SCS has an opening for a Senior Network Security Engineer. We are in search of someone that can hit the ground running, providing engineering to a Zscaler zero trust project that is in flight. This person will be a key technical engineer and a member of a diversified team of network engineering professionals. The individual must have expertise in network security and must have worked in an enterprise environment that includes experience in traditional data centers, private and public cloud security to protect virtualized workloads.

What you are good at

• Partner with Schwab counterparts to implement processes, designs, and implement technologies that reduce network security deficiencies and deliver on the network strategy
• Translate/engineer architectural requirements and high-level design into a deployable and manageable implementation
• Expertise in the implementation of public cloud solutions and services as well as next generation access such as SASE architecture principles
• Build and sustain good working relationships with development and infrastructure teams
• Work with and influence business contacts regarding technology controls, risk mitigation techniques related to application, data, and cloud security
• Participate in development, implementation of security design & engineering principles and standards and build a network strategy that leaps the enterprise into a next gen approach
• Assists IT operations and security owners to implement scalable security capabilities and processes
• Serve as a core team member of the Network Security team as an implementor to solve gaps
• Participate in driving data protection strategies and standards
• Demonstrate a commitment to integrity, process improvement, and customer satisfaction
• Is a confident, positive self-starter, with strong social skills
• Has good judgment, a demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity

What you have

• 5+ years in Internal Network Security
• Zscaler, Palo Alto or equivalent Zero Trust Exchange platform experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or similar
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Proxies, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero Trust, Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Firewall Rule Management, or segmentation
• DevSecOps – The ability to use automation to drive delivery by leveraging APIs, policy as code (Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack). If no prior experience, must be open to training / understanding automation to get to desired state work
• Working knowledge of the NIST CSF and industry standards
• Experience in an Agile/scrum environment producing incremental deliveries or willingness to adapt and learn
• Demonstrated success in a complex enterprise environment
• Partnered and collaborated cross-functionally
• CCIE, CISSP or prior financial services experience a plus

Colorado Compensation

Target Total Compensation – $126,500 – $231,900
