Every year, Circle K is selling 60 billion liters of fuel across our vast network in Europe, supplying our customers with a big variety of fuel qualities through our network.
Circle K is currently establishing a commercial energy trading capacity to further commercialize and develop our fuel activities in our markets. This requires a change in the way we operate, how we set up our support functions across our European hubs, adapt our IT systems and more. A vital part of the initiative is to establish a designated commercial capacity headquartered in Geneva under a new company – Circle K Energy Trading (CKET). This capacity will manage the commercial decision making and trading activities across Europe

Job Description:
The position is responsible for the management and control of portfolio and risk management for CKET. Develop hedging strategies and manage price risk exposure in line with the relevant ACT mandates, and as approved by the CKET Directors.
This position would serve as the ‘go to’ Super User of the ETRM (Energy trading and risk management) system when assistance is required by the BU’s regarding internal price deviation swaps, pricing analytics, and reporting and analytics of all fuel swaps done with external banks. Symphony coordination with the deal handling and supply operations teams regarding specific portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Planning and Management
Using the monthly nominations received from the business streams and relevant shipping plans developed by the supply operations team, develop a hedging strategy that most effectively meets the daily and month end position and delivers a plan that is within mandate.
Portfolio Analysis
Analyze portfolio of supply contracts and terminals in order to identify and develop commercial and arbitrage opportunities optimizing the fuel flow in Europe. This work is done along with the Risk, Supply Operations and Traders.
Energy Trading and Risk Management System (ETRM) (Symphony Amphora)
Super user of the ETRM system assisting in the daily management of any issues arising around the ETRM system with the daily entries and transactions, working with the Risk, Deal Handling, Supply Ops, and Wet Stock Management teams.
Responsible for deferred pricing concepts for all the countries. (Internal Swaps).
Market intelligence and insights reporting
The candidate needs to be tracking the markets daily, and be very close to the current and future developments in both Bio and Fossil products.
Risk Reporting
This role will include some key reporting for the business
Daily / weekly Exposure Reporting
Daily Trade Entry verification
Daily Trade Entry Error Log Process
Weekly operational risk meetings with BU’s
Monthly Global Fuels dashboard reporting.
Individual requirements:
Experience of commodity trading activities (including logistics) as well as front, middle and back-office processes and tasks
Experience of operating an ETRM system
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
Team player with time spent working in a multi-discipline team
Demonstrate high integrity and the ability to constructively challenge business users’ requirements and challenges to achieve the best outcomes for CKET.
