Entry Requirements:
(a) Completion of Secondary 5, or equivalent;
(b) Good command of Chinese and English, Level 2 [See Note] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent preferred;
(c) Familiar with Chinese and English input methods and computer operations preferred, such as word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software;
(d) Working experience in government bureaux/departments and/or familiar with computer system preferred; and
(e) Required to take trade test.
Note:
For appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties:
(a) To co-ordinate provision of Information Technology (IT) support services, including maintenance of computer systems, data input and checking, co-ordinating and compiling divisional returns and in all filing work to facilitate monitoring;
(b) To assist in the implementation of Electronic Records Keeping System (ERKS);
(c) To provide logistical support for professional activities, such as seminars, workshops, meetings and functions;
(d) To answer general enquiries from schools regarding professional activities being conducted;
(e) To perform general clerical duties, such as procurement of stores and services, maintenance of stores, IT equipment and inventory records, data input, records filing and disposal; and
(f) Any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
Fringe Benefits
(a) 7 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave / paternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
