CNA Search is looking for a Network Engineer ASAP. This is direct Hire, and Hybrid work location

Description Summary: The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, securing and supporting our company’s network infrastructure. The main goal of the Network Engineer should be to ensure the integrity of our high availability network infrastructure to provide the best possible uptime and performance for our end user experience.

Essential Duties:

The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.

• Create and build network designs to support business needs.
• Maintain our networking environments by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
• Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
• Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Install, configure, and remove various equipment from our data center.
• Ensure network capacity and uptime by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with the DevOps team on network optimization
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Work closely with the users of each network in order to pro-actively identify potential issues and fix existing problems as well as perform root cause analysis

Desired Education/Training/Experience:

Network Engineers must possess broad and extensive knowledge of networking, computer systems, and periphery systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in areas such as computer science, engineering or information systems
• 7+ years of related work experience
• 5+ years in network design and hands-on support of enterprise IP Networks
• Knowledge of complex IP routing and other protocols, including IPsec, DNS, VoIP, QoS, and MPLS.
• Proven practical experience with routers, switches, firewalls and related networking technologies in a multivendor environment (Cisco, Juniper, Dell, Palo Alto, Riverbed, etc.)
• Some experience with orchestration, automation, and configuration management using tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes; scripting using code like Python or PowerShell
• Experience working in a hybrid networking/software development environment.
• Experience configuring and maintaining server/virtualization clustering (VMWare, XenServer)
• Experience with network security tools such as firewalls and IPS
• Extensive knowledge of both Windows and Linux OS environments
• Deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
• Data center operations, procedures, best practices. Network cabling, AC/DC power and cabling
• Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under extreme pressure
• Proven experience identifying, analyzing and resolving system problems
• Familiarity and expertise in a variety of programs and tools
