Job Title: Director, Finance

Location: Sylmar, CA

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Director, Finance who will guide and inspire the finance and accounting teams for the Anthony division of Dover Food Retail. This role will partner with the Product Segment Leader of Anthony.

The Director, Finance will be responsible for oversight and delivery of financial execution of the division P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements of 200M of revenues. In addition, this role will be responsible for controllership, FPA, pricing, and business support / decision making for site operations. We are looking for a high potential leader capable of driving change and working in a complex and fast paced organization.

The Director, Finance will communicate regularly with the executive team including the President of Dover Food Retail with direct reporting to CFO. The ideal candidate shall have the ability to uphold a positive outlook toward change and to be eager to continually develop and learn. This role is intended to be aligned with CFO preparation for opportunities across Dover.

The Director, Finance will oversee the financial aspects of the Cooler Screens business project, which includes – in addition to Anthony activity, coordination with the AMS project management and installation teams.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:

• Work cross functionally across sales, operations, product management, and engineering to deliver financial results
• Coordinate the consolidation of financial budgets, forecasts, and reporting for divisional results
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis in areas such as scenario planning, ROI analyses, profitability, cost reduction, and growth opportunities as needed
• Lead division plant controller and FPA manager to drive consistency and best practices in controls and decision making
• Develop and maintain financial models & templates in accordance with Dover requirements
• Manage financials and reporting utilizing the Dover Khalix system
• Preparing the closing and forecast presentations for company CEO/CFO reviews.
• Lead, mentor, and develop highly capable managers and analysts
• Identify areas of profitability improvement through detailed analysis by customer, product line, etc.
• Lead business partner to all product segment leader of Anthony as well as Cooler Screen business team management

What are the basic qualifications?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 10-15 years’ experience in finance and accounting roles and most previously in financial / accounting management

• Exceptional computer skills and aptitude managing financial systems (Hyperion, BI, and Khalix a plus)
• Demonstrates sound analytical depth and technical capability in finance and/or accounting methods
• Successfully demonstrated ability to evaluate and analyze business opportunities and present findings in a logical way to all levels of an organization
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Employee must be an experienced power user of Microsoft Office software (Excel, and PowerPoint), budgeting, financial reporting and general ledger software. Employee must also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools
• Proven leader that develops, supports, and inspires team members
• Exceptional organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
