At Edward Jones, we are developing a suite of next-generation end-user computing solutions to meet the evolving needs of our associates while supporting our growing business. The End User Computing Technical Consultant will play an integral role in identifying new technologies and strategies for supporting the endpoint devices in the Firm. The ability to collect, manage and analyze data from Firm devices will be critical to helping improve the overall End User Digital Experience. The Technical Consultant will be part of a team responsible for managing and supporting over 65,000 end-user computing devices in locations across North America.

Position Responsibilities:

• Takes a user-centered approach to solving problems and implementing new solutions
• Lead efforts to proactively resolve technical problems and improve system performance
• Actively mentor and train other associates in their area of expertise
• Provide direction as to the effective use of technology within the enterprise architecture
• Provide leadership related to technical aspects of tools, methodologies, best practices and processes, and standards that apply to their technical area of expertise.
• Research technical improvements and takes the initiative to communicate/implement solutions.
• Participates and represents the area in cross-functional groups.
• Communicates issues and problem resolutions with all affected stakeholders, business areas, and vendors.
• Research requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, benefits, or functional requirements.
• Ensure prudent use of the firm’s financial resources.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to the technical area of expertise.
• Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Engineering preferred or related work experience
• Experience using Powershell/Bash to automate data collection and remediate issues
• Ability to capture, filter, and interpret large data sets in order to draw meaningful conclusions
• Experience with Workstation Management Tools: Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory Group Policy, JAMF, or others
• Experience designing and building metrics and dashboards to convey key information simply and quickly.
• Experience with detailed technical analysis of log files and metrics to resolve complex issues
• Ability to engage across technical areas and teams to troubleshoot problems spanning multiple technologies
• Experience leading efforts to proactively resolve technical problems and improve system performance
• Experience with Endpoint monitoring and troubleshooting tools: Nexthink, Liquidware Stratusphere, Windows Performance Monitor, Dynatrace, or others
