We’re an IT intensive business, and we operate a state-of-the-art, specialised business-critical systems, 24/7. The critical nature of the work we do, and the experience it offers, provides an exciting opportunity for Cyber Security Graduates to join our Graduate Development Programme which is aimed at new and recently qualified graduates from a cyber related discipline.
As a successful graduate, you will join the two-year EirGrid Group Graduate Development Programme which begins in September 2023. The Programme offers structured rotations (typically 3 rotations), challenging assignments and exposure to different aspects of our business. Throughout the Programme, you will be provided with real responsibilities and a range of activities to ensure your knowledge of our business along with your technical skills and experience are developed.
You will be involved in all aspects of our security function which encompasses cyber, personnel and physical security and will provide you with the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in areas such as security and network operations, architecture, design, policy management, data protection, threat analysis and the project management of security and network enhancements to our extensive IT platform. This is a dynamic area with a challenging threat landscape and where a large programme of investment is underway to protect the company’s mission critical functions.
You will demonstrate at least a 2:1 capability in an IT discipline with some focus on IT infrastructure or cyber security. You will also have strong communication, team working and analysis / problem solving skills.
