The Opportunity:
Enel North America, Inc. is a renewable energy company that primarily develops, constructs and operates wind and solar energy projects. The Electrical Supervisor (ES) is a site team member within our Owner Representative Project Team. On site, this position reports to a Site Coordinator.
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for reviewing, verifying, inspecting and reporting the electrical work done during construction projects by external contractors. They are accountable for monitoring and inspecting the execution of the assigned activities in accordance with the defined schedule, applicable codes, project specifications and the expected quality. The Electrical Supervisor is required to enforce safety and environmental requirements during the execution phase.
What You’ll Do at Enel:
Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:
Adhere to and enforce Enel Green Power policies, procedures and project documents, including the Stop Work Authority, the Brother’s Keeper and the Structured Feedback.
Ensure the compliance of safety and environmental requirements during project execution, according to company, local and federal rules and regulations.
Assess, review and provide input on engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for completeness and constructability.
Perform Daily Inspections for electrical work activities.
Perform, review and assess Witness Testing for electrical work activities.
Assess, monitor, verify, inspect and audit daily construction site activities assigned to ensure the work complies with applicable codes, project specifications, expected quality and safe working environment; relaying Stop Work Authority if necessary.
Assess, monitor, verify and inspect construction activities to ensure contract requirements and project schedules are met.
Assess and audit the quality of construction activities to ensure work meets industrial standards and project specifications; notify the Site Manager of any non-conformities or discrepancies and suggest resolutions.
Who You Are:
Ability to search and understand specific requirements in the project documents, drawings, specifications, codes and contractual exhibits;
Ability to follow safety and security procedures and determine appropriate action, stopping and reporting potentially unsafe works;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in challenging, fast-paced projects;
Ability to utilize tablet and smartphone for daily work activities and creation of reports in company software and ability to apply technology innovations into daily construction activities;
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Power Point) and ability to learn and use construction software and applications (BlueBeam, Collector, Survey123, etc.);
Excellent written and verbal communication;
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines;
Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred;
Ability to work within a global framework and a matrix organization;
Fluent in English is required, Spanish and/or Italian is considered a plus;
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 100% of time, including temporary assignment to projects and relocation between projects with short notice;
What You’ve Accomplished:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent of supervising large, utility scale, power generation on wind/solar construction project;
4+ years of relevant experience in wind/solar power generation or 6+ years in major utility or industrial construction in similar role
A valid driver’s license operable in all 50 states and Canada and a clean driving record. A clean driving records means:
In the last 3 years, no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents.
In the last 5 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.
