The SEO Manager is responsible for developing and managing a high performing team comprised of new and seasoned staff who manage client programs and provide exceptional strategic recommendations. The SEO Manager must work to foster a solid organizational structure, create open lines of communication among all team members and strive for consistent processes throughout the team. This is a hands-on role where the Manager leads by example acting as a high performing coach to the team.

What you will be doing:

• Set department goals for SEO department
• Research, communicate and discuss industry trends with team and management
• Continuously work to improve retention rates for our SEO Product through client feedback and strong performance.
• Improve product performance to influence L2T product and service value.
• Maintain a small client load to build upon SEO expertise, best practices and operational efficiencies across the team
• Manage team to ensure clear and professional interdepartmental and client communication. Create and maintain a good working atmosphere and build team morale.
• Update and maintain an organized Standard Operating Procedure for new client build-outs and ongoing monthly optimization tactics.
• Analyze status reports to oversee team-wide performance.
• Educate the National Sales force on the L2T product value proposition and new developments in SEO.
• Maintain competitive product analysis to present to sales and department leadership on a quarterly basis.
• Remain up-to-date on emerging SEO tactics and how they enhance our current product offerings
• Work with team to create new business audits as requested by the field sales team, including running detailed SEO Scorecard for analysis of prospective clients, focusing on data that supports why they should choose L2TMedia as their SEO vendor, and recommending a budget.
• Provide continuous training and coaching/mentoring to the teams in order to ensure that the required level of performance is met and continually maintained.
• Delegate, oversee and hold staff accountable for daily activity and their individual workloads
• Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual performance discussion with team to guarantee that all members receive a structured and documented formal performance feedback as documented in their employee scorecard. Ensure they are fully aware of their developmental needs and strengths
• Lead recruitment process as new vacancies arise within the teams, ensure an active workforce gap plan
• Ensure the customer service vision is executed
• Evaluate and maintain productivity measures to ensure that all team members are performing to their full capacity and in accordance with performance targets
• Compile and present monthly team results, covering specific information regarding campaign performance
• Respond to client campaign challenges in a timely manner and execute on solutions

What you will need:

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Communications or other related major required
• 5+ years of related industry experience required
• Media or Advertising experience preferred
• Proficiency with a variety of web analytics and SEO/Content tools (Google Analytics, Raven Tools, Google Web Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, etc.)
• Ability to write and understand basic HTML
• Must be able to provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff as necessary
• Must have strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft user
• Demonstrated ability in advanced problem solving and analytical skills
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively message verbally and in writing, using a variety of communication methods to build productive relationships
• Prioritizes and completes tasks with a concern for all the details involved; monitors and checks work for accuracy.
