Farallon Consulting, L.L.C. has a full-time opening for a Senior or Principal Level Manager/ Environmental Scientist / Geologist/ Hydrogeologist /Engineer in its Oakland, California office.
This position requires 20-30 years of experience in environmental consulting (depending on academic degree) in California, including 2 years in the field as an Environmental Scientist/ Geologist/ Hydrogeologist/ Engineer. This position also requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline. A Master of Science degree, and California State professional licensing is preferred. An understanding of environmental regulations at the state and federal level is required.
This is a proactive leadership role with a focus on expanding our established compliance consulting portfolio, service line capabilities, and is a principal track position for the right person. This is a seller/doer role who will build out service lines in the Oakland office, candidates will be expected to bring current and future project work to Farallon. Our support structure including contracting, GIS, data management, and editing allow technical staff to complete project work more efficiently.
The applicant should have interest in supporting a broad range of projects that reflect Farallon’s core practices in contaminated site remediation, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, environmental due diligence, litigation support, site investigation and remediation, regulatory negotiations, sediment investigations, water resources, natural resources permitting, and stormwater compliance. Your proven track record of client and project development will be key to supporting the growth of Farallon’s Oakland California office.
The applicant must be able to communicate effectively with peers, clients, and regulators; demonstrate strong written, verbal, computer, and interpersonal skills; and to complete a range of field activities and project tasks with minimal supervision. The applicant must have a valid driver’s license.
