ABOUT THE JOB
We’re Seeking a dynamic, initiative-taker / contributor experienced electromechanical technician to join a leading SF/Bay area food biotechnology startup. You will resolve mechanical and electrical problems and performing scheduled maintenance on equipment. This position entails perform and document troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of new machines and test equipment. This role is 100% onsite in the SF / Bay Area (San Leandro) CA.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect, evaluate, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows NFPA state and local building electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning (breaker, contactor, controls, switchgear, changer over switches)
Experience with Allan Bradley RS Logix 5000 PLC control
Document all repairs and service information In the CMMS system.
Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
Order, install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment
Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on electrical systems and components machines.
Diagnose the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
Requirements
Experience working as an electrician 2+ years
Experience working as a mechanic 3+ years
Abel to read electrical / mechanical schematic, P&ID, and has maintenance and repair knowledge experience.
Understanding of cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice)
High school diploma.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
Electrical / Mechanical degree from a technical college. (Preferred but not required)
Previous Experience with Food / Pharma manufacturing is highly desired.
