Product Engineers needed in the Atlanta, GA area for a thriving industrial automation products company, with product lines that include: PLC’s/I/O/PC Control, HMI’s/Communications, Drives/Motors/Motion, Process/Fluid Power, and Power Distribution. The Product Engineer – PLC and Connectivity will oversee all aspects of product support from “cradle to grave” working in a team environment. Primary responsibility is products in the area of PLCs including legacy PLCs, new PLCs, remote I/O, and industrial communication products. Qualifications:
Requires education in a technical discipline with a preference for BS in electrical or mechanical engineering or at least 10 years of experience
Requires 7 years of experience (10 years is preferred) in the industrial control & automation market. This could include product application, control system integration, technical support, and/or product design involving process controllers, temperature controllers, process sensors, and other similar products. Similar experience in related markets such as building automation may be considered.
Experience with industrial control products such as HMIs, Remote I/O, and Variable Frequency Drives, Servos, and Encoders is desirable
Experience with network topology including basic understanding of how to securely layout an industrial network is desirable
Experience with basic configuration and use of managed switches, routers and VPN is desirable
Experience of Industry 4.0 network technologies such as MQTT, Sparkplug B, OPC-UA, etc. is desirable
Experience with Industry 4.0 SCADA and Cloud technologies including security management and certificate is desirable.
Basic understanding of industrial cybersecurity best practices is desirable
Experience with agency approvals such as UL, CSA, RoHS, etc. and CAD such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc. is desirable
Must possess self-confidence, organizational skills, time management skills, and excellent communication skills
Must also be able to work on and manage projects independently, meet deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal skills
