Gables Search Group Looking for Senior Embedded Software Architect at Seattle, WA Full Time

My client is looking for a full-time Senior Embedded Software Architect.

His/her role will be to:

• Develop low level functions such as bootloader, real time thread, communication protocols with devices (SPI, CAN …).
• Come up with reusable SW architecture and code.

One position is 100% remote, one is in-person in Seattle (possibility of hybrid). The candidate selected for Seattle will represent the font-office of CS at the customer site. His role will go beyond the technical aspects (communication, interface between the customer and CS remote teams).

Responsibilities:

Working in close collaboration with our customer, his/her tasks (but not limited to) will be to:

• come up with the SW requirements from system specifications (HW specs, TI processor, Devices specs ….).
• Document the architecture and assure full traceability with SW requirements
• Define the low level design and code for the new application with full traceability to requirements.
• Develop low level functions such as bootloader, real time thread, communication protocols with devices (SPI, CAN …).
• Work with testing personnel to assure testability of SW requirements and design.
• Assign / review work to other software developers
• Provide a clear status and workload to the customer and or CS.

Necessary Qualification:

• 10+ year experience in embedded software architecture on TI DSP TMS320 environments or equivalent.
• 7+ year experience in Aerospace Embedded Systems (FMS, FCS, FWS, etc …) in DO-178 context.
• 10+ Experience in C language in Code Composer.
• Ability to work with different disciplines engineers (HW, EE).
• Ability to work with remote personnel.
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, team-player.
• Curiosity, autonomy, pro-activity and ability to find solutions and compromises.
