Gables Search Group Looking for Senior Software Engineer at Billerica, MA Full Time

We currently have an opening for a Senior Software Engineer in our Billerica MA or Aurora IL office. The primary function of this position is to design, develop, and document embedded software for inertial-based motion tracking sensor modules.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex embedded software for microcontrollers and microprocessors in accordance with RTCA DO-178C.
• Assist in the definition of software requirements.
• Design test methods and develop test plans to verify software meets functional and performance requirements.
• Perform software verification testing.
• Integrate software with hardware and debug issues.
• Assist in the writing of user training and operational manuals.
• Write documentation and technical reports.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship Required – May be selected for work that requires ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent).
• 4+ years in a Software Development role.
• Proficient in C/C++.
• Experience with dsPIC, bare-metal ARM, UART, SPI, I2C.
• Strong debug skills and experience with using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with Git and Bitbucket.
• Experience with software development in accordance with RTCA DO-178C.
• Knowledge of sensors such as accelerometers, gyros, magnetometers and imagers.
• Ability to support critical deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
