Gables Search Group Looking for Software Developer/Engineer/ Python/Go/C++ w/DevOps flavor at Saint Louis, MO Full Time

Software Engineer with a wide-ranging knowledge of both development and operations, including coding, infrastructure management, system administration, and DevOps toolchains. In this role you will participate in design and implementation of the optimization platform, and the services that run on it. You will be working with a team of other Senior Software Engineers to bring our service to life! There are plenty of opportunities to learn. You will participate in the Agile development process with a cross functional team that ranges from Operations Research, Software-as-a-Service, all the way down to the GPU layer. Key Points for the role:

You will need to have programming experience- either in Python or Golang or C++ – you will be coding in this role. You will need to leverage strong linux knowledge including linux kernel knowledge.

An understanding of operations – including infrastructure as code concepts

Experience/Exposure with Kubernetes – understanding concepts of how to use at a minimum

• 3+ years of related development experience in industry
• Programming experience in Python, Golang, C++
• Strong Linux background
• Expertise in building automation via Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Salt, etc.)
• Experience with Linux containers (Docker or LXI)
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and ecosystem of tooling
• Experience in software development best practices including debug, test, revision control, documentation, and bug tracking
• Exposure to Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker’s ecosystem of tooling)
• Exposure to high level networking concepts associated with cloud, multi/hybrid cloud, or container orchestration
• Familiar with Github
• Familiar with the Serverless framework
• Familiar with Monitoring, observability and instrumentation

An ideal candidate will have

• AWS associate-level or higher certification
• Experience with key AWS technologies including EC2, ECS or EKS, VPC, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation
• Experience deploying and monitoring distributed systems in the cloud
