Summary of the Systems Architect – Vehicle Safety Technology:
Our client, a global leader in vehicle safety and active driving technologies, is looking Systems Architect to play a vital role in the development of next-generation products. In this postion, you’ll collaborate with customers and production sites to create new systems that save lives. If you have experience with vehicle-level architecture for automotive electronic/embedded solutions, then this position is well suited to you.

Responsibilities of Systems Architect:

• Analyze system requirements and industry standards, cooperating closely with Software and/or Hardware Architects for system level concepts
• Create and maintain System architecture based on functional and non-functional requirements in accordance with defined processes for an Airbag product
• Define the interfaces of the system elements and describe the dynamic behavior of the interactions between system elements
• Establish and maintain bidirectional traceability and consistency between system requirements and system architecture elements
• Define/identify ways of reusing System architecture between projects
• Contribute to process improvements activities for system architecture

Qualifications of the Systems Architect:

• BS Degree+ in engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or relevant experience in such a position
• 5+ years of experience in a technical environment and/or technical product design
• Good knowledge in System Engineering, Electronics and on vehicle level for features (Electrical, Software, Mechanical)
• Good knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (UML, SysML are ideal)
• Experience in Requirements Management, Requirements Engineering and in particular the written specification of Requirements
• Basic knowledge in Hardware and Software

A strong candidate would score well against most of these key attributes:

• Control System Experience – especially safety-critical systems, automotive/Restraint Control Passive Safety systems experience is a plus
• SysML, FMEA, Functional Safety, or Requirements experience. ISO 26262 knowledge a big plus.

Compensation of the Systems Architect:
Salary Range: $110,000-130,000 /year, based on experience
