Overview:
The Milk Supply Support Representative role will be based in Kilkenny and will provide support across the South & Mid Regions. The role will provide admin support and backup support for Milk Supply Managers (MSMs) for servicing suppliers within his/her area to ensure the milk delivered by these suppliers is of the highest quality and fully compliant with the standards as set out in the annual Milk Purchasing Policy document. This role will report to a Regional Milk Supply Manager
Responsibilities:
Provide support to MSM’s at times of increased workload through the following activities
Milk Quality issues – diagnose and resolve
Thermoduric audits
SDAS close outs
Water sampling
Animal Welfare Approved audits
Communication and implementation of all schemes as they are developed. (EG) Liquid Milk, Fixed Milk Schemes, Autumn Calving Scheme/Seasonality and others.
The role will also include periodic reviews for some of the aforementioned schemes
Support in the admin process of ‘Change of Account’ forms and other similar processes
Attend and partake in any open days/workshops
Manage the annual Herd Health Cert collection process.
Monitor compliance across the GI pool and report to RM
Manage to ensure full compliance within the required timeframe
Provide day to day admin support to Regional Milk Supply Managers for various reporting requirements
Provide leave cover for MSMs – manage all aspects of the MSM role during leave period to include supplier communication, CRM close out, SDAS closeout, Herd Certs, G-MEAN, residues and incidents if or when they arise.
Requirements:
Experience in the following areas will be advantageous
Regulation and compliance in agriculture
Milk Quality standards and composition
Face to Face customer service and support in a quality and compliance context
Expectations
Willingness to travel across the GI catchment region and work remotely as required
Willingness to work additional hours including weekends if or when required
Strong working knowledge of the agriculture sector
Education:
3rd Level degree/diploma in Agriculture or related sciences would be an advantage but is absolutely not a requirement.
