Reporting directly to the Site Controller, the Warehouse Supervisor oversees Warehouse operations on surface and underground and supports the Purchasing department as needed to ensure materials, supplies, equipment, and services needed by the site are available and processed timely and accurately. Job duties include: Manage materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by the site. Supervise Warehouse staff. Manage the inventory management system. At the direction of site management, establish inventory policies. Ensure compliance with policies and transactional discipline. Routinely review and update inventory characteristics for current usage as needed. Identify and manage logistical movement of materials to underground warehouses. Check requisitions for appropriate approvals and account numbers. Work closely with the Warehouse staff to ensure proper orders have arrived and been received timely into the inventory management system. Troubleshoot inventory problems as they arise. Work in surface and underground warehouses as needed. Must be willing to work underground. Back up Purchasing staff as needed. Work with Accounts Payable on reconciling items received to supplier invoices. Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Supply & Logistics, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in materials management/logistics. Prior experience with a MRO system. Prior experience with IFS preferred. Prior experience in a warehouse setting. Prior experience at a mine site preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
