As an IT Service Desk Intern, you will work with other team members to resolve IT-related incidents and fulfill IT requests. Inside the Job Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with internal business partners to identify, troubleshoot, and repair IT-related incidents
• Keeping current on knowledge and changes that will impact your ability to support the business and follow the procedure for the quick resolution of incidents
• Gaining exposure to other areas of Information Technology at Herman Miller for a complete, rounded intern experience
• Working with a cross-functional team to complete an intern project
• Gaining on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives

What You Bring Needed skills and experience for this role include:

• Customer-focused communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Troubleshooting skills with a desire to not only fix the problem, but to learn and look for ways to make the process better
• Ability to solve problems in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to follow documented procedures and processes
• Experience with and have a basic understanding of hardware, applications, and operating systems
• Enrollment in and pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request.
• You must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 (cumulative or within your major) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program
• Favorable academic standing within your current academic program
• Authorization to work in the United States
