Our Operations Teams are responsible for all aspects of manufacturing high quality products in a timely manner to delight our customers. Operations team members play an important role in Herman Miller’s success and prepare us to help people do great things. As an Operations – Senior Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall results of a multi-shift manufacturing operation. You will conduct activities to establish and achieve operational objectives in the areas of safety, quality, reliability, cost, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and talent management. You’ll ensure alignment with the Operations and corporate business strategy and goals while promoting great places to work initiatives. You will oversee the development and implementation of programs and practices that ensure the successful achievement of these objectives, monitor progress through measurement systems, and ensure corrective action as needed. You’ll also lead and collaborate with various functional groups, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning/Scheduling, Information Systems, Supply Management, and Herman Miller Performance System (HMPS) to deliver results. In addition, you will drive results and manage change through successful leadership and team development, as well as effective planning, organization, implementation, and execution.
