Responsibilities:
• To formulate and carry out strategic procurement and contracts management supports for all directly invested projects
• To review cost assumptions for new projects
• To provide assistance and guidance to other departments on their procurement activities and to monitor for compliance with the Group’s procurement policies and procedures
• To handle enlarged role of supporting Risk Management in screening, strengthening contracts & procurement practices and SOPs for joint-venture projects
• To be attached to project companies (for short durations) that requires contract management supports
• To review project’s Procurement and Contracts Management Policies and Processes to ensure compliance with the Group’s policies
• To review project procurement strategy and monitor its execution
• To oversee project’s QS procurement and contracts management works
• To review independently on the contract procurement process i.e. review SOP for check-and-balance mechanism, key procurement packages for projects etc
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
• Degree in Building or Quantity Surveying or its equivalent with minimally 10 years’ working experience in similar capacity
• Relevant experience in preparation of Tenders for Building, Civil & Infrastructure, interior design projects & commercial projects
• Familiar with Contract, Law, and local legal requirement and good Contractual and Pricing knowledge in Vietnam, Indonesia and China will be an advantage
• Professional qualification from recognized Quantity Surveying professional bodies (e.g SISV, RICS, MRICS) would be advantageous
• Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to travel and be seconded overseas when business need arises
• Proficient in spoken and written English
