Tooling Engineer – South Dublin.
JOB SUMMARY • Manage tooling lifecycle for customers’ tooling assets – ensuring PM’s are completed on time and issues recorded and actioned appropriately. • Ensure all tool inventory is recorded onto maintenance system and manage tool spares • Develop specific maintenance plan for each tool, implementing staged PM levels • Ordering tooling consumables • Working with external toolmaking vendors on repairs and managing any repair project • Expand on maintenance system capabilities, using it to manage validated spares versus unvalidated, develop meaningful maintenance metrics, implement auto-ordering for planned PM’s etc. • Complete tooling IQ for all new customer owned new tools • Implement CMM to measure gate diameter as part of the PM process, controlled by maintenance system. Engage with new tool design review meetings
Interested applicants should have:
• A thorough understanding of the mould-making process from start to finish and have experience managing this process. • Familiar with all aspects of moulding plastics • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting mould issues and die issues.
