Looking for Business Systems Analyst at Washington, DC Full Time

The Investment Company Institute is in search of a highly skilled and analytical Business Systems Analyst, in the Information Technology (IT) Department, to focus on business and web applications. The ideal candidate will specialize in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), web applications, and other business solutions. This role involves working closely with both IT professionals and business stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems and processes.
Essential functions of this role include:
Work with business users, software developers, outside partners, and systems administrators to design and implement dependable, scalable, and maintainable systems.
Take lead role on designing, approving, and implementing designs of new software or software integrations with 3rd party packages.
Creating high-level product specifications and design documents. Evaluating whether proposed architecture meets relevant business cases.
Evaluating security implications of the proposed architecture.
Helping to define training requirements and offerings.
Implement formal testing, code review and related acceptance processes, and facilitate the development of related standards.
Recommend process improvements and implementation approaches based on current system capabilities.
Coordinate deployment activities with other IT colleagues including training, project management, and support activities.
Use the latest technologies to improve our current software capabilities.
Provide guidance to development teams on best practices and standards.
Continually research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
Meets with the end-user project or request sponsor and develops a system requirements document.
Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs and budgets.
Inform various stakeholders about any issues with the current technical solutions being implemented.
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
MS/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 5 years of experience with CRM/AMS or similar systems.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good writing skills.
Excellent client interviewing skills.
Strong project management skills.
Strong familiarity with CRM or Association Management System (AMS) technology; Familiarity with Dynamics CRM is a significant plus.
Sound knowledge of web technologies and content management systems. Familiarity with Drupal is a plus.
Good knowledge of database technologies.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.
Familiarity with Product Management principles is a plus.
