Are you our next Senior Spatial Data & Analytics Consultant ?

Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model.

Grade: Consultant/Senior Consultant

Contract type: Permanent

A snapshot of your peer group:

• Prior experience in a related commercial setting or in a comparable public or academic setting (or combination) of 2-3 years.

• Degree qualification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or an equivalent qualification that has GIS / geospatial assessment or data analytics as a significant component.

• Strong analytical and reporting skills

• Have applied knowledge in using desktop and web GIS technologies for data management, visualisation, spatial analysis (ArcGIS Desktop/Pro/AGOL, QGIS or similar desirable).

• Have had exposure to spatial databases, SQL querying, data management, quality control, data extraction techniques, processing and statistical analysis (Excel at minimum).

• An awareness of technological advances and industry trends related to GIS as applied to urban planning, economics, geography, retail, health, housing, transport and other sectors.

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to prepare succinct narrative analysis of findings, including associated tables, charts, infographics, etc.

• Ability to flexibly manage one’s own assigned tasks and timelines to a high standard.

Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:

• Creation, collating, maintaining, and analysing geospatial datasets

• Analysing spatial data relationships and patterns

• Asset mapping, curation and spatial analysis using ArcGIS Desktop

• Producing cartographic products, interactive dashboards and technical summaries

• Developing GIS applications, workflows, models and spatial databases

• Using geo-processing tools to examine datasets, create new information or investigate patterns (for example: mapping flood plains, assessing future population growth and planning consents to estimate future need for a school by scale of demand and best location).

• Producing catchment-based assessments for public and private sector reporting (buffered areas, amenity mapping, using environmental, demographic, socio-economic and census administrative data to produce baselines and interpretative analysis, etc.)

• Maintenance of existing web GIS applications (ArcGIS Online, Mapbox, Carto)

• WebApp development, Widget Modification, Data Management within AGOL.

• Conducting research into client business requirements and user needs
