We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department for effective handling of financial records and operations. 

Salary: $20-$24/hr based on experience and interview

Schedule: M-F 8AM-4:30PM

• Maintains records and files, including accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation and miscellaneous filings.
•  Performs a variety of accounts payable duties including sorting and matching checks and invoices, inserting checks into envelopes, researching information, entering credit memos, verifying the accuracy of credit entries, and updating the system to ensure credits are processed. 
• Performs a variety of accounts receivable duties.
• Performs basic audit functions to ensure proper posting to accounts. 
• Prepares correspondence to assist in answering inquiries and resolving discrepancies. 
• Creates customer and vendor files, files invoices, and copies of checks, and updates customer and vendor information. 
• Assists in preparing month-end reporting including printing various reports and creating spreadsheets. 
• Prepares daily and weekly reports. 

• HS diploma, or GED equivalent, and 3-5 years’ experience in AR/AP is required.
• Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products.
