About the Role
The Senior Fund Accountant reports to the Vice President and provides fund administration services to a portfolio of funds, mainly hedge funds.
Primary responsibilities include:
Fund Accounting Work
• responsible for daily processing of transactions for a portfolio of investment funds and the preparation of cash reconciliations
• prepare Net Asset Value (“NAV”) files for a portfolio of medium to high complexity investment funds.
• liaise with investment managers, prime brokers and custodians in relation to trading activity as required for transaction processing and NAV preparation
• prepare client compliance files, maintain the client database and perform general administrative functions related to client funds
• assist in the invoicing process, collection of receivables and will liaise with auditors to provide requested information and respond to queries.
• Support set up and onboarding of new clients
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Graduate with an excellent academic background, a professional accounting designation
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in investment fund accounting and offshore administration;
• Ability to handle clients from APAC, good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English is essential
• A team player with positive attitude to face clients and offer work-related assistance to clients and colleagues.
• Ability to handle work/client deliverables with tight deadlines.
• Proactive and willing to handle task individually
