POSITION SUMMARY:
This position involves teaching within Ethics Data Security & Regulatory Governance in an online, asynchronous, learning-management system (LMS) environment. This course operates within a weekly schedule over a half-semester (7 weeks). The ideal candidate should be well-versed in standard curriculum for graduate level in Data security, ethical data handling and regulatory governance of data. Our program focuses on preparing students for a data driven approach to the healthcare professions. Healthcare experience and/or the ability to create driven data decisions to the health professions is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to student engagement and a high-touch experience for students through remote learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regular communication with students through LMS discussion boards, email, and live video sessions
- Grading/feedback of student assignments
- Regular updates to course material, with a focus on clinically applicable aspects of Abnormal Psychology
- Collaboration with institute resources (Instructional Design Services and Office for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) to ensure online content maximizes learner engagement and reflects the values of IHP
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree or PhD in Data Science, medical informatics or math related field (required)
- Teaching experience 2 -3 years (required)
- Experience teaching online (preferred)
- Background in LMS learning systems (preferably D2L)
- Strong communication skills (required)
Start Date: The spring semester begins January 06, 2023. While we re-evaluate mutual partnerships between instructors and the program each semester, an ideal candidate would be interested in a multiple-semester commitment.
