Join the Materion Team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk working with precious metals and advanced engineered materials for our global customer base. Our Brewster facility includes a variety of specialized roles, with opportunities for internal promotion and career growth. Responsibilities May Include: Pulls and packs orders for shipment, carefully verifying identifying information and quantities. Places items in containers and wraps so that the material is protected during shipment. Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order and counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies. Inspect products to ensure high standards are met. Learn new skills and advance your career. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong attention to detail. Proficient understanding and utilization of computer software, such as SAP. The ability to work with hand and power tools, as well as ability to learn and operate fork truck. Must be flexible to work swing shift. The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
