One of the most integral components of the Meijer Pharmacy Patient Safety program is the gathering of intelligence. Patient safety is a critical component to the success of our compliance and risk mitigation process as it pertains to pharmacy operations. This position will require a special person with an analytical mind, who can methodically and efficiently review large sets of data and identify the right sequence of events to develop a clear, concise and accurate conclusion for intelligence related to patient safety and pharmacy compliance matters. * Hybrid Schedule offered: Monday-Wednesday in-office, Thursday-Friday flexible/remote days. * What You’ll be Doing: Data mining, and statistical interpretation of structured and unstructed data to determine actual and potentially negative medication dispensing events that create risk exposure or jeopardize patient outcomes Investigate and identify meaningful solutions to systemic issues using organized and optimized datasets to monitor continuous quality improvement activities that drive risk reduction for patients, customers, and team members Support strategic compliance programs by engaging in overall development, implementation, and measuring results of quality improvement plans with clearly identified goals and measurable customer outcomes; Oversee, develop, design, and maintain a patient safety database Track safety event trends and near miss events in timely and accurate reporting that allows for meaningful opportunities for optimal safe and efficient operation of our pharmacies Develop reporting to evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and recommendations regarding prevention strategies and problem resolution Assist the pharmacy compliance officer by coordinating periodic reviews, measurements, and internal audits of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and laws Drive results relative to patient safety, accreditation, and compliance outcomes This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required. What You Bring with You (Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience to show hands-on analytical skills 3-5+ years of analytical experience in patient safety, asset protection, or business process or safety analytics; pharmacy technology experience preferred Demonstrated expertise with direct query and data transformation tools like: Alteryx, BI Query, MicroStrategy, and SQL Assistant Competency in SQL required, Python also valuable Deep understanding of data warehouse schemas and technologies like Teradata, DB2, and Snowflake Experience with Microsoft Office and Power Suite a plus, including PowerApps, PowerPivot, PowerQuery, PowerBI, and DAX Analytical skills; natural curiousisty and accountability Strong written and verbal communication skills Organization skills with focus on details . .
