We expect the qualified candidate to have a minimum of 5 years SAP Basis Administration experience and a strong understanding of SAP best practice. The SAP Basis Administrator will be responsible for management of the SAP technical environment through configuration, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting. You will drive engagement with software vendors, hosting partners, solution consultants and IT colleagues to maintain, upgrade and enhance the Meijer SAP environment within a SAFe agile framework. What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities): · Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment · Coordinate and assist with the upgrade and maintenance of the SAP systems · Assist in managing SAP users, authorizations, and profiles · Assist with Solution Manager and transport management via ChaRM · Provide guidance and leadership in the areas of system maintenance, version upgrades, and incident resolution · Evaluate versions or updates to systems to determine feasibility for use, and make recommendations to IT management · Planning and implementing SAP System upgrades · Applying and migrating SAP maintenance packages · Participate in SAP system audits · Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercises This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required. What You Bring With You (Qualifications): · Bachelor’s or 12 years’ experience (or comparable combination of education and related experience). · Any SAFe certification or training and or experience on Agile teams is preferred. · Minimum 5 years’ experience with SAP Basis Administration · Strong knowledge of SAP installs and upgrades including usage of SAP Maintenance Planner · Experience with SAP S/4 HANA · Knowledge of SAP User Security · Good knowledge of SAP HEC and SAP on Azure · Strong problem identification and resolution skills · Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills · Strong analytical as well as organizational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities. · Ability to learn functional and technical concepts quickly · Experience with SAP Netweaver, PI/PO configuration · Experience monitoring ABAP dumps and database locks · Experience using SAP Solution Manager for end-to-end system monitoring and alerting · Experience in SAP kernel updates, SAP plug-in, landscape management, and transports · Knowledge of SAP BTP, Ariba CIG, and Fieldglass integrations a plus . .
