This role is responsible for driving innovation projects in store operations. This role will work collaboratively with partners in and out of store experience to match innovation to our operational challenges. This role will be responsible for proof of concepts and pilots to evaluate innovation and verify business case assumptions. This role will work closely with stores to ensure feedback is leveraged to adjust process during proof of concepts and pilots. This role will also be responsible for executing backout plans for unsuccessful innovation projects. *Hybrid Schedule offered: Monday-Wednesday in-office, Thursday-Friday flexible/remote days.* . What You’ll be Doing: Work closely with operation partners to review problem statements and match those up with innovations identified to create successful solutions for store operations. Works with support teams and finance to identify and report on all benefits an innovation can provide and the cost associated to delivering that. Work with leadership to develop compelling story for innovation and work with stores to leverage feedback as we iterate on innovation concepts. Implements proof of concept experiments in store, reporting on success and executing backout plans as needed. Collaborates cross-functionally with Merchants, Supply Chain, Space Planning, Store Experience and other business partners to ensure innovation concepts are supported cross functionally. Provides timely project updates to Leadership highlighting key initiatives, changes, and financial impacts. Develops and communicates key initiatives or actions to Meijer stores via email, oral presentations, teleconference, memos, and other methods. Has knowledge of rules and policies related to Meijer stores and tracks other business division’s adherence to these policies. Adheres to all principles, guidelines and policies. Designs, plans and executes projects from conception to implementation.
