Mercer Hiring for Investment Consulting Analyst Job at Hong Kong Full Time
SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an analyst to join us to support delivery of investment advisory services to institutional clients. This role will be based in Hong Kong. The role requires quantitative and qualitative assessment of fund manager performances across different asset classes and strategies. There will be opportunity to handle client queries directly, manage customer relationship and deliver standard and bespoke services.
POSITION SCOPE
We will count on you to:
Come from a numerate academic background and accustomed to using Excel for large-scale calculations of fund performance metrics and standard Word/ PowerPoint packages for creating reports and presentations.
Have strong interpersonal skills. Able to work under guidance from senior colleagues.
Have familiarity with Bloomberg and other sources of financial news and data will be beneficial.
The role is open to those newly graduated from university/ college or those that are seeking a change in their career after 2-4 years in another role.
To be successful in this role, there are some basic expectations, but we wish to emphasize that Mercer takes an approach of trusting individuals to shape the role based on maximum contribution to the overall team and pushing boundaries for personal development.
What you need to have:
Good academic track record and experience with onboarding clients for asset management products, including hedge funds or long-only strategies.
Can demonstrate strong communication, analytical and technical skills. Able to develop understanding of client’s perspectives and their needs.
Proactive in resolving issues and show leadership in a client team by being the first to either address or resolve the matter.
Strong personal management in order to plan ahead for foreseeable tasks and understand own capacity for unforeseeable tasks.
Strong English. Fluency in Cantonese and/ or Mandarin would be an added benefit.
In addition to your remuneration package, you may apply for study support to qualify as a Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) or as an Actuary (supporting Australian, American and UK designations).
