Special Operations Command (SOC) is the lead tactical arm of Singapore Police Force. Our primary role is to provide highest level of tactical option to combat crime, terrorism and public disorder. We constantly explore, assess and adapt cutting-edge technology to support our Officers, enhance policing efforts, and help fight crime.
As an Assistant Store Officer in the Special Operations Command, you will manage the inventories to ensure adequate supplies to support SOC during daily deployment, ad hoc operations and major exercises. As part of the supply chain services, you will co-ordinate and liaise with various logistics representatives from different units and branches various on the issuance of stores and equipment. You will also conduct product review, provide feedback to procurement unit for improvement and assess performance of supplies and services provided by contractors.
You will learn to identify logistics requirements and make projections of the necessary quantity so as to reap maximum economy of scale in procurement, planning and executing the logistics support plan during major operations, deployment and exercises.
You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.
What you will be working on
You will be required to provide feedback and recommendations on the follow-ups for any misuse of issued stocks or losses of value fixed asset management and proper administration of documents. You shall ensure the integrity of the stockpile. Ensure proper records of the inventories, adhere to procedures and propose improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity. You will get to implement preventive security to safeguard loss of stocks.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a pro-active and dynamic individual to be part of our Logistics Support Team. You shall possess good interpersonal skills and be meticulous in inventories. You will be trained in logistics supply chain management in order to monitor stock level closely, and report any needs for requisition and sourcing.
REQUIREMENTS
• Possess strong analytical skills
• Physically fit and prepared to work hands-on to manage logistics and inventories;
• Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out your responsibilities with minimum supervision;
• Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good time management and be able to meet tight deadlines; and
• Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Work and PowerPoint) and SAP would be an advantage.
