A nalysis & Simulation (SA&S) for Research & Advanced Design Program (R&AD) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Reporting to the Senior Director of SA&S, the Director will be responsible for all aspects of systems analysis and simulation in support of our Research & Advanced Design Programs. Responsibilities include staffing, planning, coordinating, and directing applied resources. The successful candidate should possess a deep understanding of the Northrop Grumman s portfolio of programs and enabling technologies to inform and guide the analytical agenda. The candidate must also have a strong grasp of campaign execution, networking strategy, and possess the skills, drive, and judgement to interface with senior leaders across the company and customer community. The preferred location for this opportunity is Redondo Beach, CA (South Bay), but are open to Rancho Bernardo, CA and Melbourne, FL.
Responsibilities –
Lead a diverse, multi-discipline team of technical experts and mission analysts focused on developing and executing an integrated modeling, simulation and analysis framework
Leverage analytical results that will be used to inform Northrop Grumman s strategy, shape future program pursuits and assist in developing discriminating concepts to win new business.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of all analysis and simulation development efforts, as well as analytical support to strategic studies, Contract Research and Development (CRAD) efforts, new business pursuits, and major programs as required.
Develops Statements of Work (SOW), establishes cost estimates and analysis milestones, monitors adherence to analysis plans and schedules, identifies execution risks and opportunities, and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing technical approaches, and/or tailoring requirements.
Directs and guides the work of employees assigned from supporting engineering, technical and administrative areas.
Ensures analysis efforts follow SA&S, R&AD, NGAS, and Corporate processes, guidance, and best practices on mission engineering and operations analysis.
Ensures strategic level analysis is coordinated across Northrop Grumman
Collaborates to develop and lead modelling, simulation, and analysis for critical campaigns in priority mission areas aligned to customer national strategy
Enables full-spectrum analysis in support of key business functions, including end-user needs assessment, capability gap analysis, analysis of alternatives, concept refinement, integrated system design analysis, competitive assessment and capture, and program advocacy campaigns.
Establishes analytical approaches and design-of-experiment constructs to test, evaluate and assess emerging architectures, system design concepts, evolving Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), new technology development, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
Acts as a primary customer interface for communicating adversary threat impact to emerging R&AD programs and captures, including to mission operations, concept measures of effectiveness, concepts of operation, and leading program reviews on operational effectiveness with customers.
Develops relationships with customers, interfaces with key stakeholders, and develops new business or expands analytical credibility with the customer.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor s degree AND 10 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in one or more of the following areas: designing, modeling, analyzing, and/or developing advanced aerospace systems, related mission payloads, communications, and/or command & control architectures for the Highly Contested Environment (HCE), OR a Master s degree AND 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in one or more of the following: designing, modeling, analyzing, and/or developing advanced aerospace systems, related mission payloads, communications, and/or command & control architectures for the Highly Contested Environment (HCE).
Must have at least 7 years experience interfacing with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and/or Senior U.S. Government officials on complex systems, mission payloads, and/or communications systems.
Must have at least 3 years experience with team leadership experience with the ability to cultivate, lead, develop and grow a diverse, multi-discipline team of technical experts to model, analyze and develop physics-based System of Systems mission simulations.
Must have an active Top-Secret/SSBI security clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).
Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) and SCI
Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time as required by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor s and Master s degrees in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Operations Research, or Statistical Analysis
Strong working knowledge of, or significant experience with Industry standards, air vehicle survivability and mission analysis tools, and analytical approaches for conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), System of Systems (SoS), Force Composition Trades, Cost-Effectiveness Trades, and Campaign-level study efforts
Significant knowledge of and/or experience with air vehicle survivability, mission modeling, mission engineering, and/or mission performance analysis tools, including:SUPPRESSOR, AFSIM, ETHB/RADET, TELLUS/MAF, CAT, MATLAB/Simulink, and/or Python
Recent military experience in planning or executing joint air combat operations
Experience working on emerging programs and captures in the RAD portfolio and pipeline for such customers as AFRL, NAVAIR, or DARPA.
Salary Range: $171,100.00 – $297,200.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
