Summary: The Motion Graphics Designer brings static images to life through the use of 2D and 3D animation skills, a variety of software, technical expertise and a finely tuned creative sensibility. As part of our creative team, the Motion Graphics Designer builds video assets for use across a wide variety of media, including social media, mobile platforms, apps and on-property merchandising, supporting company goals and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate collaborative mindset and expertise in the full range of Adobe products, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects. Working under the leadership of the Graphic Design Supervisor, the Motion Graphics Designer supports all ONE brands’ guest and employee-facing initiatives including Turning Stone Resort Casino, Yellow Brick Road Casino, Point Place Casino, The Lake House, hotels, golf, spas, restaurants, nightclubs, weddings, group sales, convenience stores, marinas, and eco-tourism including the Oneida Indian Nation Outfitters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with Graphic Design Supervisor, Director of Creative Services, and other colleagues to best support larger strategic goals.
Takes responsibility for the complete development cycle and workflow of projects to include concept, design, and illustrations as required.
Consistently demonstrates innovation and creativity when developing animation/motion graphics for marketing campaigns.
Maintains department workflows and procedures while effectively acting as a liaison with outside vendors on special graphic projects as needed.
Exercises and demonstrates the highest possible quality standards across multiple enterprise brands and media.
Manages all job assignments by way of maintaining an up-to-date Production/Status Report (via Workfront) and communicating status with designated Project Manager/Coordinator.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, or related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be substituted.
Three years of motion design experience along with a strong portfolio of motion graphics work demonstrating expertise across multiple media channels is required.
Must be proficient on Mac based systems, 2D/3D animation platforms and industry-standard design software such as, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects). Knowledge of other applications such as HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), content management systems, video production/editing software and PC systems is a plus.
Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends if required.
Familiarity with Central New York advertising agencies, digital and video production vendors a plus.
Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are critical.
