Roles & Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for converting signal processing concepts (theoretical or prototyped in MATLAB or C-Language) into algorithms and AI solutions to be implemented on DSP or state-of-the-art ARM processors. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with audio research team members to evaluate and benchmark cutting-edge proprietary speech/hearing algorithms for high-volume audio product lines. Understanding DSP hardware structures, such as memory management and processor pipelines, is crucial. The role also includes DSP software development and validation, requirement analysis for algorithm implementation, supporting patent applications, and aiding internal or external customer developments.
Responsibilities:
Design, document, and implement DSP audio software modules based on the requirements of the DSP architecture.
Collaborate with research team members on implementing speech/hearing algorithms.
Work with Sales/Engineering teams on productization, verification, testing, and patent application of newly developed algorithms.
Perform design and code reviews with development team members.
Design and execute unit tests.
Analyze and resolve defects in developed modules.
Adhere to the software development process defined for the team.
Enhance or update existing software modules as needed for effective algorithm function.
Streamline processes by writing effective code.
Collaborate effectively with business partners and vendors.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering/Computer Science with exposure to signal processing applications in DSP.
At least 4 years of experience in embedded real-time firmware development.
Background in audio solutions or audio processing is a plus.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Shell scripting.
Knowledge of Audio Signal Processing is advantageous.
Experience programming DSP chipsets (ADI, OnSemi, TI DSP) and/or designing audio applications for real-world products is preferred.
Experience with software development tools such as JIRA is preferred.
Flexibility and responsibility in the workplace.
Ability to build relationships and work independently.
Self-motivated and passionate about audio and developing new speech processing ideas and algorithms.
