Overview

Perform technical duties under the supervision of pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient and timely distribution of drugs inthe hospital.

Job Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and labeling in accordance with stipulated policies, guidelines and department standard operating procedures
• Processing medication orders
• Performs the following medication reconciliation steps: counting, sorting and typing of prescriptions
• Ensures stocks are stocked up properly and tidily according to First-Expiry-First-Out requirement and stipulated storage condition
• Performs topping up of omnicell ward stock in the respective wards
• Processing of daily nurse request orders for inpatient supplies
• Ensures work area is ready for daily operations and oversees general housekeeping
• Performs profession and courteous service to all patients/customers
• Ensures a proper system of pre-packing medications
• Carries out cycle counts and stock accurately and accordingly to the SOP

Requirements

• Minimum O Levels
• Understand and use the in-house computer systems
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and have good initiative
• Able to communicate effectively
• Able to function effectively as a member of a team
